I want to add a sight tube to my '01, before I do something stupid that requires engine work.

Any recommendations on which one to purchase? It looks like the BD tube is the most common.

Higher handlebars?

Thanks to everyone for helping me through all my questions on my new pig (OK, there, I said it).

I have Pro Taper fat bars, I think CF Hi. I'm sure about the Hi part. The PT bracket is mounted on top of the stock bracket built into the triple tree top. So it is all supposedly a tall handlebar setup, but I want much more height. Short of finding handlebars from a 1970s Honda mini bike, how can I get 2 or 3 inches more height? Happy to buy new bars, etc.

Thanks.

What's going to happen in the 1000?

It's been a weird year. Ogilvie died. And it seems his death slammed shut a special era for Honda Offroad. Johnny Campbell took over for Honda and Precision Concepts left and JC created everything under his own name. Then Campbell makes a documentary about himself called, "True Champion" - WTF? Then Kawi jumps in and hires Precision Concepts. And Kawi hires my two currently favorite riders; Robby Bell (current 1X for the 1000), and Steve ...

Just rode the BRP with a newly installed Acerbis Sahara tank.

My first comment: My legs are spread apart due to the design/width of the tank. This kinda sucks

My second comment: With 5.5 gallons of fuel in the tank, the bikes center of gravity has shifted forward. Not too thrilled with this fact. After burning off while burning off some fuel I got use to this issue. Though in silt or soft sand I would prefer more of a center of the bike CG.

My third comment: Having all this fuel ...

I'm probably the last person to figure this out-not uncommon for me.

But yesterday morning I took a couple of pounds of organic chicken thighs, boneless and skinless. I washed and laid them all out in a crockpot. I turned the crockpot on low. Then I covered the chicken with some Costco organic salsa. Not a lot but just enough to cover it completely. It simmered on low for 7 hours.

Man, when it was done it was great! Wife loved it. Kids loved it. too easy... It came out like shredded ...

Man this is debated on street bike forums so much it makes one sick, I am surprised it is not as debated on off road bike forums as much.

All I can go by is what I read and the miles I have put on a bike with no clutch wear and no engine problems. Most people learn whether right or wrong by reading, you can draw your own conclusions. So at the end of the day if someone used oil that you otherwise would not approve of, you are saying you would turn and walk away from that sell? If so that ...

I have located a 2000 XRR. It's been uncorked, owned by three different people, has White Brothers Suspension, steel disc and motor guards, some other less important upgrades. Seller does not know the hours of course.

With no odometer, I'm not confident I can tell if it's worn out, tired, or great. I rode a used 2003 at the dealer, seemed fine, but I didn't get the feeling "this feels tight" or ...
