I just posted this to AdvPoser and thought it might help some of you guys here too.

I just moved out of that area...

I'll gladly spend as much time with you on the phone as you want. I know a lot of the wineries and so forth. We just moved from Sonoma to LA last month. We lived in Napa before Sonoma.

I will tell you this here:

Spa and Cheap don't go together up there. Forget that. Either be ready to hemorrhage money for a Spa or ...

Several members have talked about a group pig ride...I have a location that would be great to ride (I've ridden this a few times) here in NM and in the winter (it would have to be southern part of the state where it will be hopefully snow-free...It would be approximately 2 or 3 days of riding. The areas would be monticello box canyon (nearly 90 stream crossings in 8 miles), palomas gap (rock climbing), and then quebradas blm (haul ass dirt). If there is enough interest, I would be willing to ...

Well as the title says, I do a lot of long distance rides and am looking for more people that might be interested. our typical ride is anywhere from 5-600 miles in 2 days all over dirt.

Next year we are going to do more exploring trying to find new destinations.

Me I am an experienced rider with practically a shop in my backpack. I carry a two way ham radio, spot tracker and enough tools to fix anything I need.

Post up here if anyone is interested.

Several western Oregon dual-sport riders will be congregating in Jordan Valley on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 1. My son and I will both be trucking our XRRs and camping gear to arrive Tuesday evening.

The plan is to camp until Sunday making day rides around the area visiting Owyhee, Leslie Gulch, and whatever else strikes our fancy. Maps and GPS coords are plentiful. The campground/RV park we are staying at is the Sunnyridge RV park:

You guys probably already know this, but there appears to be another Pigfest happening April 16-21, 2009 in Goler, California. Don't bother Googling it. It's a ghost town. Barely even that. More a mining hole. Or so I recall. I rode there in the 60s and 70s and didn't even know it had a name! Shows how clueless I am!

I'll probably be driving down from Sonoma and may have seats depending on what I drive/tow. I'll probably ride for two days.

There will be Pigs, piglets, Wild Boar(CR500s), ...
