I scored some nice tire irons. They also double as an axle wrench for both front/rear.

And, they're super light weight titanium. A bit expensive at $30 each, but not any more than buying all the tools separately.

Thanks to Pat for the previously posted link. And, Jim says "Hi".

I just ordered a set of Forma Dominators from Atomic-Moto.Com. They have them on sale for $199.

I’ve been looking for a new set of boots for a while. Since switching from my GS to a XR650R I now need something with more protection. I tried on a pair of Alpinestars and they didn’t fit my feet right (Just walking around in the store). Maybe they needed time to break in? But I also want a boot for ADV riding where if I have to get off and walk a bit to explore something I can. I would ...

A guy on the Yahoo forum asked about this so I thought I'd post it all here.

Gerri,

IMHO, this guy has the best pegs, although I don't have them. Still, I like his design the best. I bought his rear fender support to help with my giantloopmoto. com bag (as recommended by the maker) and although it's $100 and took a few weeks to get here, it was all round tubing and stainless steel! So I'm glad to wait for such high quality.

A group of us just returned from a 1100 mile trip, and two of us used the Alite two legged chairs and they worked great! They are super small, Ultra light weight and best of all they have a back on them! After a long days ride it sure was nice to be able to lean back and relax. They are really easy to balance on and once your in them it takes very little effort to maintain your balance. I sat in mine and ate dinner and breakfast every day.

I'll be using mine on the next trip for sure. They ...

After having two kids very recently, or actually helping my wife have them, I've gleaned a few things from wiping a couple of butts in addition to my own for the last 3.5 years.

Here's what I pack:

Biodegradable dog poop bags from Petco. They are probably not biodegradable but I like the idea, like Vonnegut's desired epitaph, of doing no harm. Or Yeats':
