Wow what a 48hrs, we rode every terrain you can imagine the tracks that I didn’t know real well were a lot rougher than I thought and took longer than I thought so we had even less time to stop than we already planned and that wasn’t much

We assembled at Chicken’s very early Saturday morning and got ready for a 5.30am start, yes 5.30am!!

The night before Chicken, Boulder and I had done some work on the trailer so everything was ready

Here’s the crew ready to go very early

This was to be one of the biggest rides I ever lead

Mick and Moose fronted at around 3pm, and Chicken arrived soon after, Chicken said his bike was ready, how good is that I thought, them he says we just need to regrease the rear mousse, take a link out of the chain and change the front tyre (lucky it was ready eh?)

Then the crowd rolled in, soon we had a good crowd there was Tiny and Tiny’s biatch, Moose, Mick, Chicken, Moto, Champo, Racey Tracy, Eagle and Chris.

Well what a great two days with a great crew, thanks again to all that made the effort to travel for the trails and fun

The ride started with Kylie Dan and Novice at home on Friday evening, I had fitted a new tyre to the 650 that arvo and it was all go or so I thought

When Kylie and Dan arrived we loaded their bikes onto my trailer and had a few quiet bundies. We discussed who drank Bundy when someone said Beagle drinks dark and stormy bindies, Kylie quickly added probably only half a Bundy ...

We arrived up at the arranged meeting place and unloaded the bikes, as we started suiting up Mal arrived with the smoker, like a thorn in the roses

We left and got straight into it, very quickly noticed how slippery it was, but was super impressed by my IRC rear which has done some work now and it still hooked up as well as good be expected in the conditions. We did heaps of sweet single.

Here Mal leads off, Crash was slow to start his bike so I chased Mal down

Here's a ride report from yesterday's epic ride. Also posted in ADVRider Rockies Regional Forum. Enjoy.

Yesterday I went on a solo ride to explore some of the riding areas

north of where I live (North NM - weather was awesome too)....seems to

me since I've been on here not too many reports from the area, so I

decide to do some scouting for a group ride in the future.

I call this ride the Abiqui to Ojo (short for Ojo Caliente). I planned

this all out by maps, not knowing what I ...

Ditch took me on an exploratory ride of Camino Amarillo.

It is located just east of the Jemez Pueblo in North NM.

Here is a panorama view from near the top looking west ( I used a cheapo cell phone camera).

It was beautiful:

To get to this view we started at the Walatowa gas station:

This is Ditch, that led the way up.

The ride up is very rocky and precarious in some sections.

There are some neat red rock canyons ...

Although it's no secret that Los Alamos has some fantastic connections to local riding areas

To give one a perspective of where I rode is, here is a map of the loop I did today.
