F.S Edelbrock Carb,

Post  feelergaugephil on Sat Oct 17, 2009 9:49 pm

I just bought a 2001 XR650R with a Edelbrock carb on it, the last owner bought it for just short of $500.
He put it on the bike for 3HOURS on the track then sold the bike to me.
Personally, I don't like it!!! I believe it needs to be set up properly.
Under 3000 revs its lumpy and not smooth, after 3000revs HOLD ON!!!! its friggin crazy, 3rd gear wheelies!!!!
I prefer smooth over all that, so I replaced it with the stock carb and that's better for me...
Anyway, the new carb comes with both cables and throttle grip.
If your interested, I'll post pix of it (including the float bowl off to show how new it is)
$250 Phil. (Im guessing shipping maybe $12-$15)
