XR's only thermostat Question Empty XR's only thermostat Question

Post  Guest Sun Feb 17, 2013 8:05 pm

Ok , i have installed the XR's only performance thermostat today , i have noticed some differences between the honda part and the XR's part , first - the honda part's center was not in the center of the part , the XR's part its centered right in the middle , the second difference - the OEM part has got small hole in it to allow little bit of flow even with closed valve ( i believe that this is to allow the warm water to reach the unit and when the temps reach the preset temperature the valve opens fully ) the XR's part comes with no hole scratch , i know that some folks had used car part as a replacement and drilled a hole in it , should i do the same or should i trust the XR's only engineering skills ( i believe they know their business ) . Anyone ever used this part , and knows more about it ?

I read a lot about drilling a hole in the aftermarket thermostats & I just bought one from Xr's only & it didnt come with one drilled in it like I thought it would & when I called Xr's only they said to just drop it in & ride no need for the hole.
Does anybody know about Xr's only thermostats is this true?
