Just picked up a 2001 BRP. It has fmf power core 4 slip on. K&N filter. Intake boot on front of the carb looks like somebody took a pocket knife to it to open it up. I slicked it up with a file and some sand paper. It has a 150 main jet in it. The PO said it was one size bigger than what came in it stock. I have read about different sized pilot jets but I was wondering with the fmf and k&n what main should it have. 1000 feet above sea level. Also should I do anything else to the air box. It runs real strong. But it's the only one I have ever ridden so I have nothing to compare it too. I had a yz426 and a kx500 in my younger days. So I have plenty of seat time on fast bikes.

Thanks for the links. Also. My kill switch or stop button does not work. Do the buttons go bad often or is it something else.

try to spray some contact cleaner in it , before you take it apart to clean and check the connections .

Only takes the ignition down to ground and kills the bike...simple wire in and then other end goes to ground when button is pressed.
