Pyn really does make that look easy. But check out how far ahead the Heli's are following the lead riders after only a few minutes.
I spent 3 days there on the BRP at the beginning of Nov - just after the event. Was my first time in big dunes, was exhausting. Riding them is ok, but doing so while navigating is just amazing.

I have ridden with Pyndon a couple of times at ADV meets and know he is an awesome rider. He did really well in this years Dakar finishing as one of the highest privateers. I'd also noticed the leaders and heli pulling away which made me wonder what the pace was like at the front.
I bet your BRP was right at home in the sands. The nearest I have got is riding through bogs where its unstallable torque gets it through places a 650 single has no right to go. Although the total opposite of a desert I suspect that riding techniques are similar.
A bit messy if you happen to be in the roost though.
