MT21 Pirelli
I have 300 ish miles on my MT21 Pirelli tires. Did 4 miles of deep dry riverbed sand when they were fresh just to get a feel. They stay on top in 4-5th gear but a bit dodgy in 3rd. Front feels good with predictable skating on sandy hard pack trails around Big Bear Ca. The rear not so good on the same roads, very unpredictable sliding unless your flat out and flat tracking all the corners. On roads with slightly impacted with rocks to lose rocks the rear isn't too bad. The paved twits up and down the mountain the tires work great even at 14psi. Wear seems good so far but the rear is gonna have a short life with the hard pack characteristics and BRP power. I wonder if siping the outer 3rd of the rear would help.

Have also been using MT21 (on my KTM 950 adv) with reasonable results and just using first set on my XR.
Sometimes i combine front Desert with rear MT21....I can put about 3.000km on rear tire on 180Kg/95hp.
My XR MT21tires with 200km (mid-soft terrain)...they are as new

Just great...this is CRF Showa prepared with new springs and shims.
However stock forks are very good with proper settings adjusted;)

mitchelin baja rear
i got a second hand one of these, it had probably done less than 50k's, i first did 1000k road trip, then i used it on the 1000k adv ride ,mix of rough rocky tracks, gravel roads + some b roads, then i did another 1200k of road/gravel tracks till i replaced it, i now have found out that they dont make it anymore, its now superseded with the desert, im very dissapointed as it took a hammering and lasted brillantly
