MX with a XR 650 R
Hello,
I would maybe make MX this winter because Supermoto season is end.
I would to make enduro, but I've not still my drive licence ... I do wait 6 months for have the good age to pass him.
I've see this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYsldMDRcaA
In this forum I see a lot of enduro bike ... and I think you said that XR is for enduro and not for MX; it's real.
But maybe you can all the same make some MX (not for competition just for fun).
The original OEM of fork and rear suspension is not enough I think ?
I would to make something with my suspension for Supermoto Races for next year.
So maybe it's possible on MX because it's look like not too hard like SX or MX on World Championship.
This is a motocross track near my home : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2e8yhBXi-s
It's look like at one of Supermoto Track near my home too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8JA1_SQ7CM (1 minute 10 for ground track)
So, if in SM it's possible, in MX it's possible too; no ?
Maybe one of you have make this experience ?
Thank's

Just put the big wheels with knobbies back on and you are good to go , only need harder springs if you are heavyer than 75 kg .

Re: MX with a XR 650 R
Not too hard to do MX with ?
I'm 80 pounds, so it's good for the moment.
I've see a "direction suspension" by Scott, it's look like this : http://www.emigracing.com/ER_002.jpg
It's usefull or useless ?

Re: MX with a XR 650 R
Its harder than riding a two stroker 125 , but easyer than BMW 1200 GS , this bike can do it all the question is " how well " ? The steering dampener can come in handy or you can just use your muscles

Ahaha love your answer.
Some of people around me said I would to brake the bike if I make MX; my poor XR
I would to try in few weeks I hope !
For the steering dampener I would to see if I buy one !
Scott is a great brand for our XR ?
