Hello from the Netherlands, again . . .
Cool to see a few 'landgenoten' on this forum.
As stated before using the XR650R for what it was built for is not an option overhere.
So yes I've also bought me a converted 2000 XR650R Supermotard.
I've wanted one for years but no funds as they are quite rare and relatively expensive overhere.
Started riding SM's about 6 years ago with an XT600E fully converted.
But that was stolen from my backyard . . .
So I decided to save up for the SM I really wanted and also wait for a specimen worthy of my hard earned cash.
I think I found one.
It is equipped with:
- Leo Vince X3 full system exhaust (very loud)
- Braking wavedisk and caliper
- Excel rims
- SM plastics
No engine or suspension upgrades yet so any tips on those fronts are more then welcome.
Happy Thumping!

Hoi Ivo,
Welkom Ik ben ook net nieuw hier I have mine for 2,5 weeks now.
http://www.xr650rforum.com/t2324-hello-from-the-netherlands
Mine is converted with the same parts (exhaust, brakes and rims).
I put back the spark arrestor in the muffler as an open LeoVince is really too loud and I think the 'bekeuring' for a loud pipe is a waste of money The current 4-stroke sound is good enough for me.
Where do you live? I'm around Hilversum.
Have fun!
Antoon.

Nooit Noort,
nog een.....
What's 'relatively expensive' there?
Just curious what goes for what there now
AndToon, tell the coppers LOUD pipes save lives!
And don't buy a ProCircuit T4, it gives the word "loud" an entirely new meaning
