Hello all, Just purchased a 2001 BRP but haven't got it home yet, it's 300klms away. A very clean example, low klms, one owner and only after market bits are handle bars and barkbusters. looking forward to polishing it and give it a service. Do all the fluids, filters new tyres ( still has original tyre) grease the swing arm pivot and have a roadworthy done, get it registered.

Wheels trued and balanced with new pirelli mt21's and heavy tubes
Fork oil changed
Coolant changer
Castrol titanium edge 10w60 and filter
New air filter
Clutch outer bush
All electrical connection cleaned and lubed with silicon grease

hi, welcome to the forum, just a question regards the engine oil you listed as the one your planning on using or are using?, castrol 10w 60, is that a m/c type of castrols range or just their car type?, some car type oils will cause clutch failure as theyre not intended for wet clutches on m/c's, some car oils are fine to use , some not , hope its all good

This is the oil. It's an ACEA A3/B4 with high temp shear, high total base number.
It does have friction modifiers but that isn't an issue. She'll be right mate.
