Hogroast
My first full days ride on the pig almost ended up in a full hogroast.
I'd not filcked the kill switch and was clearing it out after it had fallen off its stand in mud.
TBH I have rarely bothered with the kill switch in the past and taken the firing sound in the airbox as a sign that it was ready to start.
Never again.
My friend behind shouted it was on fire. I said it always does that. He replied, "NO it really is on fire". I threw the bike on its side, ripped off the side cover, threw the air filter, pulled off the spark arrestor and started smothering the flames with my gloves. Luckily I was able to put it out, refitted the filter and cover and carried on with the ride. When I got home I pulled the filter out to wash. The bin is where this is going.
