Last week's ride

A few piccies of my ride in Utah a couple of weeks ago with my friend, Neil (Beta 390-something).
Did a 200 mile loop one day and my ass is still sore.

Loading up the bikes at my house. Weather is a bit different here at 10,000' than it is in Utah....

4 hour drive west and we're in 80F and sunny skies...

Saddled up and off for an afternoon cruise. Passed a few holes in the ground...

The next day we set off on a 200 mile loop around Cnayonland's National Park....

Fairly barren out here and not a lot going on. But the scenery is hard to beat.....

I've never been to Mars, of course, but I'll bet riding there isn't a whole lot different than here. Shit loads of rocks, deep sand and cliffs....

A bit more water than Mars though...

Some of the trails dropped down to the canyon floors below us.....

Once we were down in the canyon, the trail followed the river for a bit....

Back up on the plateau now, looking at our trail below and in the distance...

A splash of color in an otherwise brown desert...

It'd be fairly easy to be blasting along and fall over a cliff into a hole if you weren't paying attention to what you were doing.......

This place is a geologist's wet dream....

And a rider's wet dream as well....

Back home now and waiting for the snow to clear on the mountain passes. Should be good to go in another couple of weeks - if it doesn't snow any more. I'll post pics from those rides as well.

Awesome ride and great pics! Thanks for sharing, would have been nice to leave the snow behind... That is some amazing scenery, those drop offs would keep you on your toes tho!

We're due to get 8-10" on Thursday. Hope the weather man is wrong - I wanna ride!
