Stebel nautilus air horn

Post  Jay69 on Thu Dec 08, 2016 9:55 am

Hello
I've purchased a Stebel nautilus air horn for my xr650r assuming it would just work off the standard wiring...
Clearly I was wrong
What the best way to go?
I've read I can fit a relay but I don't have a battery.
I'm guessing I would need a 200w stator then go from there

Hi think you will struggle....
Technical specifications:
•Sound Output: 114 dB
•Operating Voltage: 12 Volts
•Absorbed Current: less than 18A
•Fundamental Frequency: 530 Hz & 680 Hz
•Weight: 0.6 kg (1.3 lbs)
•Dimensions: Approximately 4.8"x4.5"x3"
•Reaction time: less than 90 milli-seconds

200 watts @ 12volts is 16.666 amps.....so I don't think your horn would ever work without killing your bike listen up 16.666 amps is total don't forget Bump

That thing will require a battery, even with a 200W stator.

There's not a lot of space to fit a battery is there
