I've written this for my local web site so it's no effort to copy it over. I don't want to bore you but I know that I like reading ride reports so figure one or two might enjoy this. I'm really starting to enjoy the pig now just need to fine tune the carb.

We meet as arranged at another of Knobby's cottaging spots, He really does know his toilets
I've always enjoyed my trail riding but since getting a couple of injuries in January I have been missing something.
This last week it has been starting to come back so I was looking forward to a nice long day.
Gazz had said he wanted an early dart which fitted in well with Chris a new starter, who could see that he was going to be tired later in the day.
I won't upload all the photos but I'll add a couple of slide shows at the end.
The usual start

We made the first fuel stop 5 min before closing 😓 Andy was more worried about food than petrol
From ther we wound our way towards lake Vyrnwy

This guy looks good Wink

Andy drops it but is too fast for the camera again, good job Knobby was keeping count.
UK in spring P5090050

Poor Chris is that new to trail riding he's wearing normal work boots, I told him not to worry too much as I knew just the spot to wash all the nasty mud off.

With time pressing on I cut the one section out so that we would be closer to Chirk for Gazz's 4PM dart

That was it for Gazz and Chris, it was just after 4 and they were within about 10 miles of Chirk (165KM into the ride, remember this  )
Chris had done great, being as it was his first proper ride out ( I would have been on a stretcher a long time before that.
Gazz had been cheating all day because we all know how good CRM's are. Thank flck they don't make recluses for them Wink

So it was just the three muppeteers
We filled up again with food and petrol about 5 and headed off to complete the ride

After the Wayfarer it was around and up Pandy lane.
Pogo is definitely the right description of my bike going up there.
Heartbreak was added to the route and I must admit to 2 refusals before I eventually made the first step. I just could not believe that I could get the Pig up there. However every cloud has a silver lining as I was there to capture a Knobby dismount.
UK in spring P5090106

I had one myself on the root step. Thankfully Andy was there to pull the bike off me and stick a boot on the rear wheel as it kicked it up. I get on ok with the kickstart but it really is hard work on a slope and after being on its side 😓
The whistling sound was fast approaching so we knew Kobby was on his way

UK in spring P5090108

It was then around and back past the gipsy caravan with my bike running out of fuel along the last leg approx 2 mile from Chirk. The original route after fuel was approx 115KM but a few additions put us closer to 135.
We looked at getting some out of Andy's bike and Knobby was offering to two stroke mix. Pumping the forks showed there was a dribble left so I fired it up and headed for Chirk completely running out as we hit the main street. I pushed it the last few yards to the car park.
The finshing total was 305KM at 9:15 PM Sorry Gazz the 165 only gives you 54% so rounded down it gives you officially a half day :1stplace:

As usual great company and lanes. Apart from a few showers around midday we had good weather and it really brightened up in the evening.
Thanks Lads.

We all suffer from the grass is greener elsewhere Very Happy
I lived in Thailand for a year and visited Singapore regularly. What a beautiful place with the wilds of Malaysia on your door step.
I also look at the ride reports from North America and the miles of endless trails with envy.
The internet make the world a small place.
If you get the chance to come to the UK I'm sure that, given some notice, a days riding can be arranged (although the weather is purely random so you may see nothing but low clouds and rain).
The same goes for any other genuine PIG wrangler, can't promise but I'd do my best.

hahaha...maybe you're right...we all suffer from the grass is greener elsewhere...
that's why there's quite a number of UK riders rode all the way to Singapore....a friend even bump with 1 solo XR650R rider from UK stopby Singapore for a couple of days to get new rubbers....anyways...it's great to have the internet nowadays....it makes the world smaller...we don't really need to fly to see other places....

keep on riding dude...when you have the chance to dropby Singapore again, drop me a line in advance...we could arrange some ridings... cheers

CHeers,
AJ.
