First off, let me just say that is one SICK bike... I'd love to have that...

Secondly, a couple questions;
Did you fab up that rear fender yourself; the stocker w/ like a CR 250 fender?
Did you custom build that header? I've always liked the header wrapped around the other side of the engine design; seemed to make sense w/ the way the exhaust port is angled on that side.
Lastly, is that carb the FCR? It looks like it, but I'm not sure...

Thx BRP smile

You can find most here:

http://www.supermotojunkie.com/showthread.php?t=83358

The rear fender and panels are from a crf450 '05 : cut and modded to fit, underneath sits the OEM fender (cut).
The carb is a first generation FCR carb (road racing),oval bored to 43mm by the Dutch VHM firm.
I rode the bike today (run in) and the power with the 680 is insane, lifting the front when he comes in the meat of the power (3000 a 4000 rpm) even with 15 x 40 sprockets. 2 thumbs

It's a Monnier tank with modded '03 CRF shrouds. It's a Swiss firm: http://www.spracing.ch/

In Italia they make alu tanks with CRF '05 shrouds : http://www.blitalia.com/catalogo/dettagli.php?cID=2&pID=5

You make a great job ... the last bike (10 november) is nice, a lot of work
I would to think about put my bike into your hands; you accept french XR ? BRP smile

Between 650 and 680, you had a lot of difference ?
I have never read a report about this preparation and I would to remake my engine ... so it's could be interessant to know.

Bring those French XR's on ! BRP smile Je parle un petit peu le français. Very Happy

680 is alot of torque , combined with the right mods (stage 2 cam,big valves, big carb and special CDI) it's sometimes scary...but tooo much fun.

xrmanu wrote:680 is alot of torque

Je ne parlez pas Francais, je m'excusez - however, don't you think it's atrocious voor een Belg om dit niet te kunnen? BRP smile Bump
680/650 = 1.04 >> 4% more torque for a 680cc when compared to a std bored one!
You also say "a lot" more, quite like plenty dudes do on the net..... but it's only a measly gain of 4% ?
I'll never do it, boring out the perfect nikasil bore to gain what, next to nothing? Suuure, cam, valves, carb etc, but if you do that to a 'std' angine then you basically have the same - less bragging rights of a 'big bore' engine of course.
Quite different if you hop-up a 250 to 300 or 320 or thereabouts, that IS a real difference!
My 2c's, feel free to splash out dear dollar on a 680 kit naughty
