BRP Cooling Fan Empty BRP Cooling Fan

Post  Guest Sun Mar 03, 2013 3:44 am

Hi everyone,
I have just joined your forum and already am impressed with the knowledge being shared.
I am going through the process of fitting a cooling fan to my BRP as it is too nice a machine to cook in the tight single trails or when I get stuck in a mud hole.
Has anyone tried using the two output 200w stator from Ricky stator using one 100w output for the standard wiring harness and the second 100w output exclusively for running a cooling fan? and without using a battery?
Eager to find out.
Thanks,
Aussie.

Welcome to the forums, you shouldn't need an exclusive circuit just for the fan ? 100watts @ 12 volts is just over 8 amps which is massive for a cooling fan to pull. If your going for dual circuits then normally 1 for lighting and the other for the rest....ignition etc I would take your fan power from this circuit.

We need data.....system logs showing average temperature with and without the fan running....graphs and spreadsheet will be fine...please use 2 colours to show fan on and fan off data ?.
Will look out for these highly detailed graphs to appear..... Bump

No problem Mauser,

just DHL me a small portable logger with probes & powerpack (its own, so unaffected by the bike's varying power output), and I'll git ya the data you can fiddle with.

asking for it
