120HP 600cc 2-stroke?
Interesting story about a clean 2-stroke from Rotax powering SkiDoos.

Here's the first interesting writing I've seen on YouTube and it's about this stuff too.

What do you guys think? I can't seem to part with my 2-stroke. I keep think of the riding I don't need the BRP for. And how cheap it is to run a 2-stroke. How I love riding 2-strokes in the dunes ...

Re: 120HP 600cc 2-stroke?
I don't know what those bottom two links were supposed to show but all I got was a 1 sec video of some bikes riding a straightaway.
I think you posted 2-stroke loving on the wrong forum. lol. I used to like the 2-strokes hit and still have my heartaching RD400 racebike. But they are too damn much work to keep running and maintain. Adding oil to the gas...rebuilding cranks and seals and pistons. Ugh.
THe only fun in having a two stroke now is their uniquity. Having said that I loved the 500cc GP bikes and a 3 cylinder two stoke is one of the sickest sounds you'll hear.
Do you remember the Tularis bike?

I should been more detailed.
The link to the one second video obviously wasn't about the video. It was about the discussion underneath.
Everyone has their opinion on everything I reckon. But i find my two stroke to be pretty much maintenance free compared to what all my friends with any-brand 4-stroke 450 are doing. The point is to get out and have fun. And a $1000+ top end rebuild of a 4-stroke eats into a lot of riding funds unlike a $100 rebuild of a 2-stroke. Not doing maintenance on a 2-stroke slows your bike down. Not doing it on a modern 450 4-stroke grenades the engine.
Thanks, I'll check out the links!

Me too. A CR500 would be the ultimate urban/DS hooligan bike, IMHO.
My license would be yanked within a few weeks, but it sure would be a hoot!
