Any Paintballers Here? Empty Any Paintballers Here?

I was looking around on the web for air pumps recently and noticed that CO2 canisters like I carry for my air pump seem to come in much larger sizes for paintball guns. I think the ones I carry are like 12 and I saw larger ones for PB up to 88. Perhaps more. Are they the same size fitting that they screw into?

Let me make sure I understand what your asking about. You are currentaly using the 12gram puncture style Co2 (disposable) and you wanted to know if you could use the larger tanks for paintball markers right?

If thats the case then no, the larger 9,10,12,14,20 and 24 ounce paintball tanks use a threaded valve to attach to an ASA, air source adapter, that opens the valve. The oxygen or nitro tanks that the more advanced players use come in varied sizes measured in cubic inches, probably where you found the 88, they use the same type of thing as the Co2 tanks do, so you cant really use them.

Now if you wanted to use these in a garage without keeping it on the bike then you could source an adaptor and some hoses and just use it like a small air compressor but they dont last all that long and I think it would be easier to just use a normal air compressor.

Hope this helps, Header.
