Side Shot. Utah skid plate, Acerbis 6 gal tank, Edge 2 tailight (custom license plate bracket), XR's only case saver, Silicone hoses, XR's only chain guide, IMS pegs, ect ect

KTM fan setup. I have this wired into the high beam switch. Nice for those long slow grinds or at long lights.

Thanks! I haven't had any problems with the BD speedo. It's worked great! The light is a Trailtech unit, I really think it ads to the look of the bike, plus it throws better light than the stock BD light.

Oh yeah.....I keep thinking about re-installing the yellow guards....I think...Maybe not....We'll see....ARGGGG.

Not trying to hone in on Hodakaguy's thread but I have the fan bookmarked just in case I add it to my sweaty pig...Click here - www.ktm-parts

If you don't have/use your brights...Wire the fan up to that switch to save you from having to add one.

Looks like Focker got ya the link. Type in KTM fan on E-bay and keep an eye out, I've seen a few new ones go in the $50 range.

I've added some farkles to mine:
Billet Racing Products Upper and Lower Triple Clamps
Renthal Fat Bars
Kritter Foot Peg Mod
Turbo City Borrego Tail Rack
Utah Skid Plate
Moose Racing Bark Busters
Agri-Supply Tool Tube
XRs Only Case Saver
DRC & Acerbis LED Tail, Brake, License Lights

Now the next item is the tank, I am debating between the Clarke and the Acerbis Sahara. Why did you go with the Sahara tank? 5.8 gals seems like it'll be a top heavy bike...

I went with the Acerbis Sahara for a couple reasons. First is we are going to do the OBDR next summer and I wanted a LARGE tank. It does handle a little sluggish when full, although when riding around town you only have to carry a couple gal in it and then its just like the stock tank (weight wise). I also like the looks of the Sahara tank BRP smile .

It's nice to have that extra capacity when you need it nice

High bars are a must when you have long arms naughty The stock bar height is WAY low, not to many people will be able to stand upright with slightly bent arms. My bar setup is about 2.5-3" taller than stock, plus its farther forward thanks to the BRP tripple. I'm 6'1" and can comfortable stand up, very important when doing technical trails, IMHO. I'm running the BRP Submount setup that gives you a 1" rise, plus the Pro-Taper Windham RM Mid bars (Tallest you can get before going to the ATV high bend, and the Windham has less sweep). Bars work perfect for me at this height 2 thumbs

As far as the tank goes, The tank looks huge...It is! But......When I sit on a XRR with the clark tank the clark seams to push my knees out farther than the Sahara does. The Sahara doesn't interfear with my riding possition at all, with only a couple gallons or so in the tank the weight is actually lower than with the stock tank. The Sahara tank also gives a little bit of radiator protection as well. You get used to the BIG looks of the tank real quick.

Thanks for your thoughts on the tank. Also, what is meant by the "dry break system" for the Sahara?

The "Dry Brake" is a quick fill system for racing, like a spring loaded trap door. Slide into the pits and your crew just pokes the can into the tank and your back off again, no cap. Best just to have the cap to keep the nasties out of the tank for most people.

I didn't find a spot that I liked for the horn so I just ditched it completely, shortly after I bought the bike.

I was blasting bums off the curb with the Stebel I had on my KLR! Loud as Hail, but had to run it through a relay (included) so it takes up some space.

I was thinking it would be good for my Transalp. The OEM Honda horn sounds like a wounded goose. But then again it still works 22 years later.
