I don't know anyone who does either.

Looks like there's plenty of info out there if nothing is found here: http://www.google.com/search?q=paddle+tire+xr650r&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Are you going to Amargosa or Dumont? Are they the closest to you? I guess you have some experience with dunes. I used to ride my 200 years ago at the dunes all the time with no paddle. Having a hard time imagining by BRP out there.

Seen some really ugly accidents out there too. One side of a dune is hard pack and the other is silt that swallows the bike and catapults to rider...

For those in places without dunes here's a good primer: http://www.duneguide.com/index.htm

Glamis Baby

Post  PigandChain on Wed Nov 04, 2009 7:06 pm

I am going to Glamis for Thanksgiving. Sun-Sun it should be a blast. I use to ride my WR250 out there all the time with a paddle If you want to really HOOK-UP then a paddle is the only way to roll. I have heard from a bunch of BRP owners that say a paddle is not needed but I dont want my bike working hard all week.

I actually ordered a Kings Turbo 8 cup paddle on Monday so it should be here soon. I know I probally could have got a 10 cup but I decided on the 8. I post reviews and PIC when I return. .

Holy Crap!

That place is like the 10th largest city in California or something at thxgvng. Be careful. Last time I was there they had a whole row of medivac helicopters.

Some friends were there about 8 years ago camping. Someone came up in the night and stole their bikes! No kidding. I can't imagine sneaking into someones camp at night to steal but it takes all kinds I guess. Everybody I know who goes out there carries guns too. But the drinking and all probably makes for undisturbed sleep...

Anyway, lock your bike up good.
