Hi, I'm Eddie from North Wales in the UK.
I've owned my 2005 PIG for about 6 months and only now found this site, so i have a lot of reading to catch up on.

I bought the PIG primarily to Dual sport but have found it to be a really good trail bike that can almost replace my 250 2 stroke but not quite.
When I bought it with 800 road miles
UK Pig 82ccb114-1
With the IMS tank
UK Pig 49ffa8c3

I've found the 17 liter IMS tank to make the bike very top heavy for tight trails and have been using an old battered standard 10 liter job.

So far I'm happy with the bike and love the raw power that is always there when winding on the throttle. In many ways it is a wolf in sheeps clothing as most people mistake it for the old XR400 and only start to suspect when they get a face full of rocks thrown up by the rear tyre. naughty
I have had a few momets starting the beast Embarassed beat head mad as heck pig but it always does start in the end:lobby:.

If any one fancies a days trail riding in North Wales then send me a message and I'll arrange something.

Welcome! Nice looking bike.

Looks like you need a new rear tire....

Hey man, if you lose all the rego crap and go a full system you can lose quite a few kilo's from the BRP making it a not quite so big red pig.
Welcome abroad. BRP smile
Does it still have the IRC road legal tyres on it?

No Mitas C02 Rear and EF 06 Front
Not the grippiest tyres but not bad either and they last and last and last.
I plan on lowering the gearing(currently standard 14 -48) to make it easier to get going on steep muddy or rocky climbs, it is fine once the clutch is fully out but can sometimes be a ball ache to get moving.
The original fork syrup has recently been changed for oil so I'm finding it absorbs more when riding over small rocks/stones.
Just out to the garage to have a look at the thermostat as the bike boils way too early IMO despite fitting the computer fan.

These Mitas are great on the recent wet roads

Try a 1.6 or 1.8 rad cap it should help to keep it from boiling over. Also check to see if the thermostat is working the factory ones are known to seize up. I got both from xr's only but a KX500 rad cap will work too. cheers.

Yeah! Another brit-pig. There aren't that many around in "lanes" mode, lots seem to get Motard'd.

A play in North Wales? Could be a grand idea, haven't been there on a bike for years - the struggle of riding a 200cc 2 stroke 200 miles to start!
