No No & No not without the clutch.....well we had this topic a few months ago and I run 13~50 gearing and mine won't do a true power wheelie in any gear....I guess that those who say it will must sit on the rear fender tug on the bars and whack the throttle open.....I await the replies Bump

No m8 as the bike isn't capable of doing it razz you find me a video if a 650R doing a rolling on power wheelie then I will shut up....no hands on the clutch lever allowed asking for it

OK Ill start looking using the clutch makes it easer at speed but if I cant whack the throttle on or relax on the seat a bit then sheez

You can whack the throttle as much as you like....will even let you sit on the back of the seat....not the fender and see if it will power wheelie Smile .....but no clutch as that's cheating and not a power wheelie as the first post suggested.

Won't wheelie?!? What are you guys talking about?! I'm running 15/45 and can easily loft the front in the first 3 gears, 4th over a slight rise. I have no clutch lever, since I run a Rekluse auto clutch. Here I am in a RallyMoto race in 3rd gear.

It seems that they dont know what the term power wheelie means ,
anyway stock xr does not have enough power to lift the front just by using fully open throttle unless mine is broken . Recently tested KTM 690 , no power wheelies ( and as it was not mine i was not afraid to give it some hell ), same goes for DR 650 . StirPot

My ZX12-R with close to 180BHP won't do a easy power wheelie....you need to find a slight rise in second then wind the power on then she will raise the front wheel...after 6" I crap myself and let her settle down lol.
Would guess SuperMoto wheels being smaller may help the front wheel go up easier...?

No wonder I try to wheelie mine a d it is hard to come up, so Mausser what do we need to do to our BRP to be able to power wheelie? Do a cam stage 2 swap? I just did mine the uncorked kit along with the hrc exhaust but still not much difference in power, also I still have the stock gears. I wonder what is the best gears to run on our brp

I'm no expert to but to be able to power the back wheel around at such a rate and get enough traction for the front end to lift and over come the down force of gravity I still believe you need to cheat and either shift your weight backwards and tug the bars and at the same time open the throttle, if you get enough traction and lift then the front wheel will rise...no doubt when she starts going up the process becomes easier as the bikes length reduces distance between wheel centres along a straight line....the ground.
Don't quote me but smaller wheels are the answer for the SuperMoto guys 17" wheels and low profile tyres with loads of grip are going to make life so much easier lol.
If your like me living with proper knobblies then the best I think you will get is a wheelie from a tug of the bars over a rise or bump then she will come up....or a tug/sitback and clutch jobbie which I don't know how to do lol...never like banging my clutch in and out on the ZX either.
I love my bike the way she is, loads of low down power... mines that low geared she pulls away from staionary in 5th without even knowing about it Smile....not many bikes will do that.
I think you will find the rear tyre is spinning on yours when you crack the thottle open...mine will spin the tyre on green lane tarmac you know the type with grass/mud down the middle easily in 4th.

Finaly someone hit the nail 2 thumbs , all modern bikes are designed to keep booth wheels on the road - not to wheelie , for safety and performance reasons , that is why the rear swing arm is as long as possible and the front wheel close to the engine as possible , simple physics listen up

ive had several xr5oo,s that could power wheelie in the first 3 gears at a whiff of throttle, my brp has at least another 15 hp , when std it could throttle only wheelie in first 2gears, then i put the std gearing on[ prev was 14/42] that gave third gear power wheelies with gentle persuasion on the bars, now shes all warmed up im fighting to keep the front wheel on the ground, throttle p/stands in 4th gear at 90kph, my old gsxr11g would power stand in first gear, but also in 2nd with help, after modification i actually had to close the throttle going over crests as you ended up going down hills lookin at the sky if ya didnt.ON one occasion i came out of a shallow dip onto a straight at 260kph with the front wheel pointing skyward, putting it down a couple of hundred yards later at 270kph the front wheel did an impression of an aircraft landing, stillone of my fondest memories of her,... those were the days
