just wondering...

I notice that something happens on this forum that doesn't on any others I am a member of. That is that when I post an update to a thread its get flagged as a new post to me - I don't get this on any other forums I am on. Just wondering is this a setting thing or functionality of the software running the forum or......

I'm probably not understanding your question because every forum I'm on or maintain works this way.

It is a new post...Not a new thread/topic.  It's the latest post made, therefore there is a new post and it's kicked to the top of the post list.

 

hmmm must just be me then but I can't remember getting a new post notification for my own posts on the other forums I am on. Will try to come up with hard evidence or when I find out I am wrong I will slink away into the shadows glowing red.....  

Okay, now I get it...You're getting an email notification when you post. I'll look into it.
