Rear Brake Clevis Split Pins x 2 ?

I can understand the split pin holding the clevis pin in....otherwise it will fall out lol, but why does the master cylinder rod have a pin in it ?.....could never see this coming loose as it has a locknut ?..... mine no longer has this pin....never noticed it and as I unscrewed the clevis it sort of got chopped through lol.

Ahh, very interesting indeed. Who can understand the engineering mind.

An additional weight of 0,000001 stone (= 2 grams! ) ensures that one cannot loose the locknut neither nut IF it comes loose - and it will with some owners, if not sooner than later.
Leave it in Maus', it's an OEM part after all, and yours is bogstandard I believe ...... minus some anti-smog & choking rubbish which is a good thing!

Have you ever tried fitting that pin ?....I didn't notice it was there and managed to undo the clevis....only to find the remains of the pin loooooooooooooooooooool it won't be going back in stock or not Anyway my bikes to clean for it to fall out WD40 means no failures on my bikes lol.
