Yet another Motohead...
Hi, my name is Ernie and I'm a motorcycle addict. I've had my BRP since 06 and haven't put a lot of miles on her. That's about to change seeing as I can get a Plate in Washington now!! Sold the BMW GS (even bigger pig) and am putting some money into XR farkle. The XR will be my only bike now for at least the next couple of years. Hope it all works out! The local shop says they've been (doing inspections) issueing plates like they're going out of style. Strike while the Iron's hot I say!! Hope to post some pics as things get bolted on and wired up.....
Here she was Brand New, 0-ish miles...

Dirty bike in WA
Dirty, nice ride! Glad to see WA state has relaxed and allowing plating of dirt bikes. Ive not been following it, but do you know why they pushed through the change? I think in some states it gotten harder, not easier.
Like the ManRack, I ordered same for mine. I like its not too big, so I wont be tempted too overload it.
Were in WA are you? I relocated from Seattle to Austin, and miss the PACNW a lot!
Looking forward to hearing about your adventures!

I think there was a lot of work involved with local ORV groups to get it pushed through and regs changed. I'm affraid it might not last too long so I'm trying to get a plate while I can and hoping they won't revoke it later. I'm in Moses Lake now(Central Washington), grew up in the Seattle area though. I miss the green and trees sometimes.....

new pics
I went out on a ride on Monday with some friends, one of which actually took some pics. So here are a couple of Piggy action shots.
OK, maybe action isn't the right word for it but at least you know we were having fun!

Good stuff, well built. Load it up and hit the roughest stuff you can find. They tested it with a cement block strapped down and went for a long ride. Couple hundred miles at least I think. I believe it.

Hey Ernie, is that Odessa in the pics you posted Tuesday? I'm planning to do the Dual Sport run this year at the D100.

That pic was the Dirty Poker Run in Vantage put on by Fringe MC. It was fun but too many people on too little trail for my taste. I did get the unique opertunity to help a kid get his boot out of his forks and realign the front wheel to the handlebars. His dad was riding too far ahead and had no idea he'd biffed it...

The rack is from manracks
Thanks Frosty, I think the rack and the HDB (Highway Dirt Bikes) barguards/blinkers/mirrors/tripleclamp are great too. I love those foldaway mirrors! The dual sport conversion was a lot of fun. Nothing quite like making it your own and one of a kind.

At least I know everything holds up to a little oops. Just had to turn the bars back up a little. I'm going to give it a good once over before the next time I take it out just to make sure.
