Hey!! I finly found a XR 650 R to restore! She need some cosmetics, but the mechanical side is solid!

Im in south east New Mexico, with no one to ride with!

Thanks Skid, I got the tank "de-oxidized" and looking rad again (it a Clark 4.??) and orderded a Uni-filter for it, finnished un corking.
I think tis thing had the original air filter!! Took it for a run around the block and couldnt keep the front wheel down!What a Face SWEET!!
Next is some new bars, grips and seat.

The Clarke tank is 4.3 US gal. Depending on your weight and riding skill/style you may change the rear shock, I went with an Eibach 11.5. The stock gearing is 14/48 but for some that's too low especially the duel sport/motard guys. I run 15/48 and she gets along just fine but my bike, a 2003 brp is set up for off road stuff only. It would be nice to dual sport it but here in Kalifornia it's difficult if not immpossible to get a brp 2003 and up plated. Enjoy the brp, if you ever get near Norcal I'll ride with you.
