It dosent look anything like this now, Ive taken the plastics off and cleaned the oxidatio off the tank, "de-stickerd" and been cleaning every thing. I pulled & cleaned the carb, next is oil & filter, fix the broken chain adjusting bolt, then maybe i can ride it!

P.S. If your going to through a bike away, through it MY way!

Looking great man! You might consider an alloy bash plate for the bottom, and some armor for the clutch cover. Looking forward to seeing some more pics!

Project PIG Empty Post surgery.........(on me, not the pig~!)

Post  Guest Sat Feb 16, 2013 2:15 am

So here's where I am, I had hip surgery on the 4th of Feb. Got my stitches out today, and was told I can start "not using" the crutches to walk. Should be back to work in 4 weeks.
Nuff bout me!! Bump
I have my shift forks, clutch bushing, gasket set and seals ordered, Case splitter, 'like new' shop manual, (some grease stains included) and about 4 weeks of time. Bananatool
I'm gonna tear her down and send the head to get valves checked, lapped, ground, replaced, whatever needed. Cylinder/piston bored 1 up? whatever needed
New piston/rings to match cyl.
Checking the crank, my wife is good at that! 2 thumbs censored ban

Cams? Im thinking hot, but dont know. shrug

Ill get a new clutch pack 'pluss 1'

Suspention is good for now, I gust have to learn how to ride again , then I can make my adjustments from there.
Cosmetics, and armor, still to come.

Any input?

Ya you friggin' better you lazy Git, 4 weeks, umm, WEEKS off should get ya going busy nicely... with cleaning (drip), spannering (slurp), nursing new parts (leak), lovingly reassembling (wipe), turning and cranking (without the wife that is), and then eventually starting her up (leak).
Is my drooling obvious?

Make the best of that month Chris, and do indeed make some pics whenever your mitts are clean enough to handle a camera. I could think of worse entertainment, hope at least you're not snowed under still, like in too cold to move the knuckles. But in the (Edit: Bay area) NM it shouldn't be too bad?
