Hello from Los Angeles
My name is Vladimir "Brad" Michel. I might be picking up a new 2015 XR650L or a CRF250L. Torn between the two. The 250L has a better ride height and feel for me but everything tells me to get the 650. What is the normal freeway cruising speeds of both without straining the engine? I mostly ride city streets and go off roading once in a while. Highway riding is very rare but do on occasion go 200+ mile rides. I need the bike to be able to handle 80MPH sustained for long periods of time. Victor from Honda Of Hollywood couldn't answer what the normal freeway cruising speed is for the 250L. I know the 650L is capable of sustaining 80MPH. What are the pros and cons of each bike?
I do video production work and will also require on occasion to be able to put on saddle bags for video gear. Any suggestions for the type of saddle bags or storage solutions for either one of these bikes?
Any input is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sorry my friend this is the 650 "R" forum we have nothing in common with the 650 "L" model.....apart from both being made by Honda....and both having air in their tyres.

XR650R
no seriously for your use I'd go for the xr650l if you have to pick between those two models.
