Re: 650 L Forks
Before I figured out the forks were only twisted I was looking on fleabay...and there were buttloads of L forks and only one set...(ridiculously expensive) of R forks....was why I asked...as for the smoking...well...what is in a name anyhow! Got the forks lined up...now waiting on the carb kit and seat cover...duct tape....embarrassing!

No Maus',
no mercy with this newfangled modern hippie folk, he contemplated to start raping his R with an L fork - for forks sake man, next he wants to put the L-tank on and then what, a fairing maybe? Wait, that electric start kit, because 'it is niiiiiice bruuuu!!'
brushhipie,
I see only now there's an R in youR name .... can't be a bad dude then!
You better check what you bought, in-depth I mean, strip things: forks, rear swinger & linkage, wheelbearings and that kinda stuff. If you're not fully conversant about the few niggles this bike has then read up on it, and buy copper-paste/anti-seize compound for your chain adjusters - which is probably the very first thing I would do, remove them, clean and remount with loadsa copaslip!
Is yours decorked ie has it the full power? If not you've got work to do - enjoy this bike!

Re: 650 L Forks
Thanks for the heads up..I am not familiar...yet! I have found the stuff to do the "uncorking" going to do that while I am in the carb....(leaking through the overflow even at the correct setting) Cannot wait to ride it after the mods...but taking my time..I do wanna know it is right. This thing came from out in Nevada so it is full of sand...giant bummer! lol
