xrr 2016 rebuild

finally got around to rebuilding the engine, its running a carrilo rod this time, and a 695cc ross piston (11.25:1comp ratio) till that setup is proven reliable it will still have the super motard grind camshaft(stage2 grind), but im itchin to put that webb stage-3 cam in once its run in. ive ordered a new set of rockers/pins to ensure the camshafts reliable, plus a new spocket carrier to ease cam swap over.
just finished assembling the eng, but now have to clean up the rest of the pig, its near 2 1/2yrs since she was used so will probably take a bit of tlc to get back in action

sorry wassie i dont have a camera that takes vids or sound, but i can assure you it does sound fairly rarky, i also build race ex systems, plus i beleive a decent amount of noise is a safety feature, especially since some people dont see ya comin !, they might hear instead, gave the pig a degrease and w/blast today, so she should be running soon

got her fired up today , feels fairly grunty with that big-bore piston(103.5mm), a few issues - carb needs sum tuning , think the float valves flooding via the lil rubber tip hardening up -from sitting so long, lefthand petcock leakn, suspect the rubber guide /sealer given up ( not sure what those fittings are called exactly) at least its not leakn in the off position !
and the header gaskets are missing and consequently chuffin abit, they are a fiddly job to make-but ill get around to it soon as that drives me crazy hearing that tourqe escaping .

hi all, have completed fixing all issues, decided on full rejet of carb to suit, finally got the hrc needle installed togeather with a leaner pilot and removal of the slow air jet, awesome result, best jet setup ive tried  on the fcr43.5mm carb, power wheelies in fourth gear, powersliding around tarseal corners yeehah!, kinda forgot what fun the big thumper is, now really lookn forward to installing the stage 3 webb cam.
in the meantime got a couple of trailrides coming up soon, so ill try to post a few pics, my brother just bought a wr450 to do some trail rides with me this summer
