bolt sizes - help please!
Making a trip to the hardware store soon. Could somone please tell me the correct sizes (head and thread) for
1. The stock skidplate bolts (4)
2. Gas tank bolts (putting 2 bolts thru acerbis tank and Tom's radiator guard). Need some rubber bushings too, apparently.
Also need the correct socket size for the left side flywheel. Gonna try to do the valves myself.

Who knows ...
I've had some problems between what my bike is supposed to have according to the documentation, and what I find on it. So what I do when I have it apart is I take the bolts to a very good hardware store nearby and replace them with stainless, usually allen head. I'm trying to get everything similar so checking the fasteners before a ride is quick and simple.
I also do it for the stuff I add on to the bike if possible.

Re: bolt sizes - help please!
What Bump said. I'm finding interesting pieces-parts that need to be standardized.
The Service Honda site ( http://www.servicehonda.com/parts.html ) suggests the following:
Gas tank bolts:
Item 26, Bolt - Washer = 6x40 (part # 93404-06040-00)
The collars are an additional item.
Skid Plate bolts:
Item 26 (2) and 28 (2)
Item 26 is listed as "6mm," and 28 as "10x111."
Mine are all interchangeable, with various ferrules and washers to keep the plate from making annoying sounds.

Gas Tank Mounts
For about the same money you can get the XRSONLY billet gas tank mounts. I'm not sure there is any advantage, and there could be a disadvantage, but I wanted you to know there's an option. I have a set but haven't installed them because I needed to modify my setup to accommodate a Renazco seat, 4.3 IMS tank, and Fluidyne radiators.
Also, I've had good luck buying fasteners online. I recently replaced the crappy and wrong bolts my Cycra hanguards came with for a set of nice stainless button heads. I called Cycra a few times and they never called me back. They simply shipped me the wrong fasteners. Wrong thread pattern. Losers.

OEM bolts for honda skidplate: $4.35 each x 4, +9.5% tax = $19.05!!! Just to mount a plastic skid plate! What are they, made of gold?!
Found some bolts at the hardware store that should help me attach the acerbis tank to Hodakaguy's brace. The trick is finding a washer/plug to keep the bolt heads from passing all the way thru the wide and oddly-shaped holes at the bottom of the acerbis tank. It's like I need a cork or something. Hey now ...!

You just had to didn't you?
I knew it was just a matter of time until the SF jokes came out, so to speak. I got a buddy in Kansas who thinks I'm close enough to SF to call it SF!
And no, I don't know where you can get any San Francisco Reeboks!
