high altitude jetting (Colorado)....?
What are the appropriate needle and main/pilot jet for an uncorked XR650R (03 model) at altitudes above 10,000ft.? The cabin this group is staying in is at 11,000 and the trails will rise much higher.
Any experiences out there?
Thanks,
Kerry

Sorry ...
I've got the Team Honda jetting for that elevation but it's for a bike with the HRC cam, HRC race head and T-4 pipe plus all the opening up of the intake. If nothing else shows up then I can find my setup and you know you are likely leaner than that.
If you call PC they will sell you a kit for it. If you want that then PM me and I'll tell you which guy to ask/buy from. With shipping and all I think it was $25.
Or you could call that Honda shop in Denver that gets a lot of the old Team Honda race bikes. They might know more ...

Re: high altitude jetting (Colorado)....?
To start with, I ride between 7000-11,000ft. Uncorked '05 650R. My settings are:
165 main
68s pilot
B53E needle w/ clip at 3rd position.
You should be good w/ this as your starting pt.
