BRP Newb in Co.

Trading in the street bike for a dual sported 2007 BRP, Its mostly stock, been down a couple fire roads but mostly pavement miles about 3000, decorked, Acerbis Sahara tank, xrs only billet rear rack, Trail tech endurance computer, and stiffer springs. So far I've ordered hardened footpeg bolts and a Hodakaguy tanker brace. Oh yeah, Ordered magnet wire to rewind the stator. Goal is to turn it to an Adventure tourer to go find the hidden ghost towns of colorado and hit mountain passes.

All I'll say is nice bike...

A friend of mine started up AGP Racing there. He sold or got out of it, but he had a very successful women's MX team going for a while.

The latest mods:

Wolfman tailbag.
Rewound the stator for 100w AC and 100w DC
Added turnsignals
Dumped the Trail Tech endurance computer and installed and Acewell computer
Built a Sub-c cell 12v battery pack.
Installed Pirelli MT-21 Dot knobbies.
Installed 15-47 sprockets
Installed LeoVince slip-on
Leaned out the jetting for my altitude.
Installed KTM cooling fan
Installed Highway dirtbikes 2 switch cluster.

I recently rode a ride at WestFest in Buena Vista, Boiled over once on a slow climb up Mosquito pass, I think the thermostat is stuck partially open after seeing how fast my coolant temp varies. Hasn't boiled over again but still plan on replacing the t-stat at next oil change (approx 140mi) and will see what happens then. Other than that the bike ran perfect all day. I am truly amazed at how this thing handles on pavement even with knobbies.

Might as well get it out of the way now, pwrtrippin is the brother in-law. Maybe we will get some action shots next outing, and/or video.

And YES he really needs a metal skid plate...LOL

Working on something really special for a metal skid plate, hope to get it completed this winter. Yes, the gearing is great at 65 on the highway, I can cruise for short stints at 85 and does pretty good in the tighter stuff with a little clutchwork.

I've been trying to get a machinist I know in Colorado to laser cut some Mil spec Ti for me to make a skid plate. But he's pretty busy. i tried to get eLine to make some out of CF but they said the XRR market was too small.
