Trivia Question:
What make and model of motorcycle was "Notcher" riding in the 80s movie Iron Eagle when he raced Doug Masters (who was flying a plane) on the course called "The Snake"???
Guest- Guest
Don't most of those films...
use old XRs? Seems like I'm always seeing some old clapped out XR500 painted black with a bad guy on it.
Here's some more trivia via IMDB:
During "The Snake Scene" in which Doug Masters races his Cessna 150
against a motorcycle-riding Knotcher, the pilot of the Cessna 150
Aerobat was actually renowned aerobatic pilot Art Scholl,
who was killed later that year when his Pitts S-2 camera plane crashed
while filming in-cockpit footage for the flat spin sequence in the
movie Top Gun (1986).

Re: Trivia Question:
and seeing as this is trivia, this is what I started on...and still have in MINT condition, my parents have it and will not let me have it till I have kids...I'm 33. Funny thing is when my father bought it way back then, only way he had to get it home was to ride it 20 miles on the street. That was in TX, times were easier and people did not care (meaning cops).
Honda CR60
By the way that is a very nice site:

You guys are good!
I always thought it was an XR500. I guess I just thought any bike fast enough to take on a plane would be at least a 500. I guess it was a movie though. Does anyone else have a motorcycle trivia question?

Re: Trivia Question:
I saw a closer picture, and the tank looked like it belonged to a klr650 without the radiator shrouds, but I looked at kawasaki's web site and they claim they have never equiped any of their bikes with missles and machine guns, so I'm not sure. I'll wait till other people weigh in before I say for sure. But for now I say klr650. (the price of the bike seems to fit the movie budget) -Matt Now I am going to go watch Delta Force!

Two movies!
In Terminator II, John Conner rode a bike when he tried to escape the T1000 in the semi. It wasn't a BRP, but do you remember the bike?
Also, there was a movie released quite a few years back as well that was called "Time Rider"; don't think many have seen it. Anyway, a racer is doing some Baja race on a BRP when he travles through some government experimentation on time travel out in the middle of the desert. Does anyone remember THAT bike?

Oh hell yeah!
I forgot about t2! I dont remember a semi but I remember John conner ripping though an aquaduct on some kind of big twostroke. I bet it was a cr500. They were playing a kick ass G&R song during that part I think. Never heard of the other movie. I still want to know about the delta force bike.-Matt

Re: Trivia Question:
Im Pretty sure the John Connor scene was a XR 100 or similar, but the sound track recorded over later on made it sound like a 2 Stroke ha ha i remember having Arguments at school over that scene , we all reckoned they put a CR 125 motor in the XR frame ha ha, i used to have a XR 500 same as that first bike, twin carbys and all, wish i still had har, would be nice gathering dust with my Yamaha IT 250k and IT 465h
Guest- Guest
Wow man,
I just checked it out. It is a little 100 or something. Its been a while I guess. It sure should have been a cr500 though!
