Re: May 5th - Snow
Nice Modette!
A paddle-tyre will probably work well in the snow by the looks of it
2 Q's:
- Your Zumo (500/550) has no problems with the vibrations on the bars like you video shows? I ask because I just made a 'shock-absorber' between cradle & (ram)mount, some bent thick flexible plastic. I made it because I thought it better, but I have not had any problems yet (albeit, on other, heavier bikes).
- Where's you cam mounted, on your chest or where?

Re: May 5th - Snow
Its a Zumo 550. The pins on the original cradle broke but I heard that was a standard problem. I bought this second cradle and its been working great, the first did too until the pins died. But at that point I had the unit for a few years already and something like 25K+ miles on it. Plus i used to take it out to use int he car all the time, now...I just keep it on the bike...I did spray the pins down with some WD40 to clean them and lube them some.
Right now the cam is mounted to me using the Chest Harness from GoPro, I tried it mounted to the plastic above the headlight and that made things easy but there was vibs. I tried the top of the helmet thing and hated it. The chest works great when you stand, but when you sit, its more like this:
