Odd Jetting

I just got a 2000 XR650R, stock carb, uncorked, Unifilter and a Big Gun Race full exhaust. That's all I know about the engine-it's stock as far as I know.

I opened up the carb to clean the bowl-float was sticking- and decided to check the jets since I just got it. The bike used to live near sea level (Orange County, CA) and I live at ~4800'. The bike runs fine-3-4 kicks to start cold (1/2 choke) and 1 kick hot, almost 40 mpg at 70 mph. I was surprised to find a 50(!) pilot jet. I read it three times w/a magnifying glass. 172 main and a b153f needle.

So, any thoughts on the odd ball pilot jet?
