Does anyone make an electric start any more ?
I race hare scrambels in Iowa . Muddy hills, water crossings, slick corners, and dead engine starts, makes me want an e start.

joe racer might still make them and I think there's a couple of companies overseas but that's about it. I'm pretty sure Baja Designs stopped making them. I looked into getting the Joe Racer one a couple of years ago but I didn't like the way it made the case stick out further, I figured it would push my foot too far out on the peg.

Re: Does anyone make an electric start any more ?
There's an ongoing thread on AdvRider right now about this. Even the European sources have quit making them, and they were all around $2K shipped to the US.
I know Bump, on this forum, had posted one potentially for sale. It was the fugly Baja Designs version, but seems pretty durable. I think he's got one on his bike and can attest to its durability. I think he's selling it for a friend.
I called Joe Racer last year and they'd quit making them.

Have a look on this site, they are not cheap but the more expensive kit looks like Honda designed it for the Big Red Goliath.

They're one of the ones no longer making them. Haven't updated their website.

Pretty neat...but for $2,000 I will continue to kick...LOL Plus I do not like that the gear shifter is so far out, makes it more prone to bending on the trail. Now if I was riding many Motard on the street yeah I might bite and buy it...but still $2,000 is a lot of cash...might be better just to get a KTM at that point.

well apparently baja designs, joe racer, and xr stuff in uk all have discontinued.
guess there was too little demand.
i for one would also be interested in an e-start but can not find one anywhere.
