Slack clutch...
Went out on the bike other day.my clutch lever went all slack & the clutch bight came in when the levers almost fully pulled in.So i adjusted the clutch cable on the lever to make it tight again.Fine.
Next day,i went out & its done it again.ive now had to adjust the cable on it down by the motor to make it tight.
Any ideas what the problem is cos my clutch isnt slipping when i give it some stick?
Knackerd cable?

Adjust the cable so it's rock solid tight then squeeze the lever hard....hopefully the cable will snap on you without too much effort....have a spare handy if the piggy is your only means of transport lol

Re: Slack clutch...
These I regard as self-inflicted injuries.... "preventative maintenance" is not for nothing called that, it prevents you from getting stuck in the sticks. It could well be the outer cable collapsing rather than the inner giving in, in fact I hunch this is the case - which is visible on the outside, prolly next to the steering head where the cable turns/bends most or right at the handle.
If I were you I'd scrutinize all other cables too, for reason if there's a hole in the one shoe the other's not too far off either....
