Anybody interested in a CR/F front end conversion for XR650R
I´ve found this post from "jesusgatos" on Advrider...maybe some one is interested:
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=257326
"I swapped a CRF front end onto my XR650R using stock tripleclamps and I wasn't happy with how the whole thing went together, so I decided to design a set of custom tripleclamps to do it right. I contacted SCOTTS to get some dimensions from their steering stabilizers and the forward-mount stabilizer post, and ended up talking with them about the possibility of adding these tripleclamps to SCOTTS product line. Their biggest concern is that the XR650R's are being phased out and there might not be much demand for a product like this.
So, what do you guys think?"

Yap, that's why i haven't done it yet
Another option is to install on the CRF top Clamp the Bar mount and steering stabilizer.
Have anyone tryed it and manage to find a compatible bar mount?

Re: Anybody interested in a CR/F front end conversion for XR650R
I used a scotts top "TOWER" on a CRF top clamp
the problem is the forward brace for the turret...
you need longer than stock scotts
so I decided to build myself a rear brace on the side of the oil plug

Why are you using a rear mount on the oil dipstick hole?
Any reason for this option?
What about this?

taht triple are from a CR500, I'm not able to find it In Italy
but I have found a CRF triple clamp with the stem already machined for the BRP.. so I bought theese.
Now I'm trying to get that triples working with a scotts stabilizer
if you use that scots collar with the CRF triple the steering angle is too close

Re: Anybody interested in a CR/F front end conversion for XR650R
yes, but you need to find a newer CR500 triples.. 1998-2001... not older
and then you need to machining, plus shipping cost and taxes...
more than I paid the CRF triple ready to use..
