Honda 68S Pilot and B53E Needle Info
The Internet needs another 68S pilot thread like I need another hole in my head. But this time its different. I've looked and looked and called and called. Finally I figured this out and think its best to share the information I've obtained and spare the world from more 68S threads. It wasn't easy and it took forever. I hope this helps someone else some day, I tried to get really good pictures so its very clear what is what.

Re: Honda 68S Pilot and B53E Needle Info
My needle looks little bit scratchet and slightly bent , i need a new one , but on the oficial UK honda parts site they only offer the stock needle and the part numbers differ for the same part compared to US part numbers

Oh yeah... Forgot about the whole being a pond away thing. There should be OEM part numbers, they're just hard to get a hold of.

I hope this info will help someone in the future ;
if you insert the US part number in the UK part number search it will come up with the correct part under the CORRECT UK P.N. even if they dont show this part in the exploded diagram parts list .

The restricted US piggies have the smaller rubber fitted between the carb and the head.....
You can alter the restricted version and cut out the middle but not worth if for a few quid

Thats great thanks! It is what I thought it was. Mine was cut out by the original owner. Kind of did a shabby job at it too.
16211-MBN-640 CARB ISOLATOR
I'll take note of that part number and order one of those from my Honda shop next pay check
I know XR's Only sells one but A) Its $35 bucks and B) I wasn't very impressed ordering from them. Got the impression over the phone that online sales are an inconvenience and my order will ship when they get to it. Could have ordered my parts from my Honda shop and paid the same price and had the parts a week sooner...
EDIT: ORDERED! And only $14 bucks!

Dont worry about it man , i just wanted to tell you how nice your dealer is . when i start buying the more expensive stuff i might ask you to help me to get better deal I have purchased the bitts weeks ago .
As for the bike , i think its european version ( but i am not 100% sure ) it came uncorked , i have only bought the parts to refresh the carbie ( identical parts already installed ) just heard that the jets , needle and the seals need replacing now and again ( the bike its over 10 eyears old after all ) and as my iddle is all over the place the intake insulator might be leaking , got new one just in case . This is just temporary solution , the original carburettor will go to bin soon , and the TM 40 get the chance to show how its done

Re: Honda 68S Pilot and B53E Needle Info
Can anyone from the UK confirm that if you order part number 99105-MBN0680 you get the 68s jet and not the 68?
I've been to my local dealer and he's plugged the number in. According to him it's a 68. He showed me and there is no reference to it being a 68s.
Is there anyone from the UK who has actually ordered one and received a 68s?

Just reporting back that you do get a 68s with that part number. Mine has just arrived.
Also I can recommend this outfit... http://www.johnoldfield.co.uk
Good old fashioned, knowledgable service. They're local to me but they do post out. Their prices were also very good. Much cheaper than my local dealer and cheaper than what I've found on the net.
