Jetting help

Just got done jetting my XRR. 68s pilot, 175 main, B53e needle basic uncorking jetting. It also has a FMF pipe. The bike runs great at lower RPM's but when it hits the mid to upper range it just loses all power like its not getting any fuel. Did I do something wrong?

Altitude?
Open sidepanel?
Clean oiled filter with all excess oil removed?
Dual plastic plugs removed from airbox - that's two largish things out ie holes there?
Thicker yet, you do have the 'opened' rubber between top & carb?
Thickest, how do you know it looses power due to too little fuel - as feeling-wise this is exactly the same as over-fueling, which is easier to do actually?

As my good friend suggests, here's a picture which might help....

I know its a silly question but when you put the new needle in its on the 3rd clip down from the top right? Setting the needle at the top clip would do this.

Thanks for the replies. According to Google my elevation is about 368 feet above sea level. The side panel is not open and the oil filter was just changed. I did put the new carb insulator in but I didn't modify the air box. I'll remove the plugs from the air box and see what happens. Maybe I should buy a new air filter too but I really don't think it needs it. Maybe a high flow air filter? My needle is in the 3rd clip down yes.

You're altitude is really close to what mine is and I'm running a 68s, 172, B53E, 4th Clip, and 1.5 turns. Air box plugs removed and the square restrictor removed from the rubber intake. And it runs great down here.

I've been playing at ~4000ft though and is pretty rich up there. But I think you'll be very pleased once you open it up and it can breathe.

That's forkoil, is sealevel.

That will do the trick, plus a new filter.
So, your bike's running rich, not 'lean'.

3rd down = correct. High flow filter, like in what? For offroad only a foam filter (UNI, TwinAir or Honda) will do, know that any cotton-gauze will let through fine dust.

Okay I took the pieces out of the air box and now the bike runs PERFECT! I had no idea that those pieces made that much of a difference. Thanks for all the help guys!
