Noob from Indy
Howdy - I'm Eric and I live in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Just picked up an '01 and will begin working on it to suit my tastes (or lack of taste as the case may be). Plan on doing a bit of riding in Utah and Colorado this year. Also some trails in Michigan and Wisconsin as time permits.
Looking forward to it!

Thanks. I've spent most of my time in the mods section checking out all of the things guys have done to their bikes. Lots of nice work posted in there.
Have done lots of riding in the UK - albeit all on the road. Can't wait to get back there again.

All road riding I'm afraid.
My best friend, who passed away in October, lived in the West Midlands (Telford). We rode all over the five countries over the past 20 odd years of riding, I think there were 7-8 trips where we spent 2 weeks just riding around. I always borrowed one of his bikes there for European trips as well. So most of my trips were based out of Telford.
A few pics....
Scotland and Edinburgh Castle;
Wife and I did three weeks riding around Ireland on a hired bike;
Froze our asses off at the Northwest 200;
Got lost quite a bit;
Had more than my share of this;

We always seemed to end up in the Peak and Lake Districts though. Dunno why - just sort of happened.
Hardknott Pass, has Roman fort ruins along it, near Keswick;
Close to off road riding, following my friends around the Yorkshire Dales. Different trip on a hired ST1300...
Messing around on Hadrian's Wall...

Here in the States, I ride a BMW GS (same paint as the one I hired in Ireland, not the same bike tho). Have ridden in 49 States so far and tour quite a bit...
And often stay in Ouray, Colroado...
Always see a ton of off road bikes there - the main reason for getting a BRP was to ride in Colorado and Utah...
And need to get off road in Utah and Arizona...
