Re: Project Mad XR
It would be sweet if there were a few more active posters. I am on here everyday but just got my bike last year and have been doing/learning what I can as I go. I get excited just to have my pig legit and running decent. Now i am trying to get it MINT and sumo it.
I did not think bigger radiators would fit. I heat wrapped my headers and the bottom the radiator is practically sitting on it.

The XRR is a dying breed but there are still some enthusiastic owners left out there , i am here every single day .
You are right about the exhaust pipes sitting right next to the rads , bad design but for some reason very common , wraping and insulating them will help big time with the temps

Re: Project Mad XR
Mines uncorked and that's pretty much it, if you count that as stock. Still running factory carb and exhaust. Well now that I'm thinking about it I've changed the tank, and side panels to black, and new handle bars. So I guess mines not stock.

Stock?
Which one?
The US (Californian) version comes way underpowered (requires de-corking) with anti smog rubbish on (needs removing, if only to make it more reliable and lighter). It also comes without any stuff required to make it roadworthy (needs adding) whilst the standard "light" barely deserves that name (needs replacing with a working unit).
Ergo no, don't think so.
Mind though, have you ever heard of anyone complaining?
Any one, just one?
Me neither

Mines road worthy, I ride it fine on the road maybe you need to ride something less powerful Burps....BuRP wrote:required to make it roadworthy
