My "Brand New" 2007 XR650R
Greetings! New member here. I bought a new 2002 BRP in 2004 and converted it to Dual sport. At the time I had a crf450r and didn't see the need for 2 bikes. I sold them both and picked up a CRF450X and dual sported it. (still have it) I longed for my beloved BRP and have been sad ever since. The BRP gods were shining on me last week as I found a BRAND NEW 2007 BRP only ridden for 20 min (14 mi) Unmolested and uncorked. I jumped at the chance to buy it for less than half of what the owner paid for it in 2008. Who would have thought I could find a NEW BRP in 2015! I have uncorked it and took it out for its maiden ride at El Mirage in CALIF last week. Cant wait to dual sport this one too. Anybody have any thoughts on a dual sport kit? I used the Electrosport on my last pig but they now longer make them. So glad to be back!! I will upload some pics as soon as I can figure it out! lol

Damn Teepee,
you found a new latest model Pig, a needle in a haystack...... and now you want to demolish it by converting it for tar?????
Here's an idea - sell it to me for a handsome profit? I'll gladly pay for the crating etc, but that thing must get some filth in/under her, maybe on top too so I'll promise I won't shower for a week!
Deal?
Yeah, I thought you'd say that.
Nice find anyway, just put her on soil rather, NV's got plenty of that

Dual Sport 650
Hey great post thanks! I'm not one of those SM guys. We'll ride asphalt for about 10-15 miles to connect to the pole line roads and off we go. Not uncommon for us to do 100-150-250 miles every ride 95% in the dirt. Love to do Barstow to vegas and Vegas to Laughlin. I agree 100% keep these BRP's throttled up in the dirt! Yep, got lucky literally brand new, and I don't think they made a lot of 07's.
Ride ON!

I've had good luck using parts from Procycle: http://www.procycle.us/dskits/dskit.htm
I've installed two kits on two different xr650r's.
