Looking for ideas on a rear sub frame/fender support. What do you suggest?

I've read a few threads on this subject. This is the one that seems to offer the most support, it braces further back than most. It's not the prettiest thing in the world but it does seem to work. There has been some discussion about the tire hitting the brace after a hard jump but the guys that are using them said it hasn't been a problem.

I'll probably buy this one (for $54.95 it's almost not worth fabbing one) or I'll fab up my own if I get bored.

That does look nice!

I'm wondering about tire clearance though. scratch

Let me know when you're ready...I know a guy with access to a powder coater. BRP smile

That one seems a bit to clunky. It has more than we need and I could see us hacking it up. For $60 couldn't we buy enough stock to fab a couple? I know time/skilz is money but we both get bored enough to justify this mod. naughty

Focker,

I have that one. Very minimal and works well. I got mine from Dirt Bagz. Can't exactly remember what it's rated for? I mainly installed it to stop the dreaded fender flop through the whoops.

Here is a different version by the same company...This is more of the minimalist approach.

All of these are good and serve a purpose. I have seen many different versions, the one's that tie into the sub frame seem to be the strongest. Personally I run the PMB Rack. I bought this bike for long range dualsport stuff so I want the rack for gear. You better get it now before they stop making it.

Sub Frame Empty Here's the guy who makes this one

http://fourstrokeworks.biz/ It's about $110 including shipping. More for tax in Cali. But I like the round tubing, the appearance of no tire issues, and the general look of his work (not his website).

From the left menu, choose, "Quick Links", "Body&Lights", scroll to last item at bottom of page. He doesn't keep any in stock. I ordered one to better support by Giant Loop Moto bag and he has to fab it up. I pinged him on a subframe but haven't heard back ...

This is more the route that I'm going to take, but I'm going to add another support that ties into the lower two bolts, where Fockers brace ties into. It's on my list of things to get done, just need more time Frustrated

I'll post up pics when I get it made.
