Re: Headlight bulb
My TT Vapor, mounted on the top-triple in TT's own alu cradle - which has grommets for vibration dampening in it! - fried/broke in less than 10 minutes...... twice!!
In the same breath, TT replaced them without a quibble, surprised me I'll admit.
But, it should tell you how hard the vibs are, violently so - and no, I've relocated the cradle to the plactics so not on the triple anymore. You're risking same for same reason....
A single Solstice mounted aside the headlight will shine bright for long, just want to mention that here. And yeah, there's plenty of cheaper similar things on the market, but I haven't seen one with same quality yet.

Re: Headlight bulb
Ja when you thrash the pig she does squirm quite violently so I guess serious vibrations ensue.
I am going to check the full cost before going this route. Up to now it looks like The light itself is the only expensive bit. I have a source for very affordable rectifiers and other bits.

Would that be a like for like swap, with a standard bulb?

Re: Headlight bulb
Regarding TT Vapor - Vibration killed mine so I rubber mounted the new one
BTW, for anyone who didn't know you could do this - My tail light is an LED and it works 100% on the AC circuit - It doubles up using the same LED's as a brake light and that runs of the DC
I think I need BuRP to help me with a bigger cap and neatening up the wiring behind my headlight - Maybe a rewound stator too so I can have high and low on at the same time. My headlight is CRF230/XR400 which I think is designed as a single beam so the best visibility is to adjust high beam low as not to blind people (if you could with a candle) - I would like to have the low beam on at the same time but then it is 70W
Sorry for the out of focus pic of the back light
