Noobie w/street legal ''03 BRP in Burbank, CA area
Found these forums quite by accident..........just wanted to say hey and get/share ideas with other XR650R owners.
I currently have a street legal BRP w/Big Gun race header pipe & stock muffler assembly with HRC race baffle in it installed(same power as Big Gun race baffle but 1/2 the noise), and standard mods such as jetting & open intake manifold from HRC as well. I run 15/43 gearing on the street and it will do 75 mph on the freeway without breathing hard and still returns me 44-48 mpg if I keep my hand out of the throttle. I'm also in the process of doing a super motard conversion on the bike with Excel rims/RAD hubs w/cush drive in back and 320mm rotor up front, the usual SM mods........
Anyway, enough babbling, glad to be in here! Thanx!

My avatar is an actual picture of one of those portable electronic road signs warning you of hazards, etc. ahead and someone had hacked in this one and changed the message...........this was the end result. Quite funny........it happened somewhere in TX, I think.
