HDB (Highway Dirt Bikes) dash questions (w/Scotts submount)
Question for anyone running the HDB "dash" setup:
I have the Scotts upper triple with submount setup and want to run the HDB top clamp, Acewell (w/dash) billet protector and keyswitch/powerlet.
Problem: The bolt pattern I just measured on the Scotts triple is 100mmX40mm and none of the 3 options offered for Honda match that. However, the Yamaha page has that option?!?
No reply from their website/email yet, and there's no phone number to call.
Anyone run into this and know what works for sure?

Re: HDB (Highway Dirt Bikes) dash questions (w/Scotts submount)
Paul of HDB sent my mechanic a couple of sets of blems to see if he could adapt them to fit with Acerbis 2 bolt triple clamp mounts. Travis of Mossy Creek Cycle is still in the process of fitting them to the bike. My XRR has a Scotts upper triple and top plate with forward facing sub mount. If it works I'll post pics.
You bring up an interesting point, whether or not the Yamaha pattern will fit? When you emailed Paul did you use degarate@highwaydirtbikes.com ? If not try again as I have found this address to work best.

Thanks Joe. I just used the "contact" link on their web page, so I'll definitely give that email a try. After perusing ADVRider for awhile, I found several of the KTM folks were using the Yamaha pattern on their bikes with the Scotts Submount system, so it seems there's no real problem mixing and matching to get the right bolt pattern.
I'll post up any answers I get from HDB.

Great, It would be much cleaner with the HDB top plate.

Doh! I've got the Scotts "top mount". Good luck with your sub mount.

Yeah, thanks. The top mount definitely presents fitment issues. I've got the Acewell right now and had to go with the submount so I could fit it in a reasonable place (upper clamps) without making crazy brackets that extended it way out and up.
Looks like the HDB top clamp/dash would simply replace those two upper handlebar clamps if I can find the right bolt pattern. The upper clamp with the two powerlets may hit the uppper neck of my Clarke 4.3, though, so I may have to go with one of his "extra" single side mount powerlets on one side with the keyswitch port on the other.
Still no word and I tried the email you gave me. Got a phone number?

He's a really good guy. But this is a side job for him if I recall correctly. So you should be more patient. Though I don't want to offend you by being pedantic. Or using large words... It often takes him until the weekend to get back to me. Sometimes longer...
One thing I will vouch for is that he's super fair to work with. So, IMHO, the wait is totally worth it.
I can easily give him my highest recommendation. Another guy on here that seems to be a great guy to work with is the DSArmory guy back east. He also seems like a great guy.

No worries, Bump. I'm not stressing it. It's just nice to be able to talk with someone about different options they have available, or custom jobs, too, rather than do the email thing back and forth. I've got the whole front end torn apart for fresh fork oil and new springs, so I'd like to wire everything up while I'm at it.
I just "discovered" HDB a couple of weeks ago on a co-workers bike and will definitely agree, it's the best. My bolt pattern is 130mm X 40mm, which I found in the Yamaha section, and I noticed several KTM guys on ADVRider have used the same clamp for their Scotts Submount setups, so I'll probably just place the order and see if it works if I don't hear from him in the next week or so.

Paul got back to me the day of my last post. It's purely bolt pattern dependant, which makes sense, so I just ordered from the Yami section. Should be here tomorrow! I ended up going whole-hog with his entire setup. I'll post some pics once it's all done.
Thanks for the info guys.
